Hello again gorgeous people of the world!!
Okay, I’m on a posting streak this week because for the next weeks I’ll probably get really busy because I have to stop sitting on my lazy as* and get some real work done, lol. I think I’ve mentioned before that I’m a writer by profession, and right now I shouldn’t be doing this but well, can’t let the flow break. Making posts for me is really fun and I’m really glad that a lot of you guys write comments (whether good or bad, ’tis all great) and keep on supporting. *insert dramatic piano instrumental here.* Wait a minute, is this a tear threatening to fall from my eyes? Could I possibly be growing that thing called…. a heart? PFFFT.
Anyways, on to business! For this part two of album covers/ cd photos, I won’t be putting up a single best one because there are a lot of categories to choose from. So in the end, you can tell me what you think!
I’ve said before that simple covers are also really great as long as they’re not dull. This time, Arashi has no frills, no hassles. Just plain good old, clean fun. They really look like your homely good-boys-next-door. Doesn’t this cover make you feel the “Happiness?” LOL sorry for the lame promo line.
AKANE’s debut album cover isn’t really that special, but what’s great with it is that for her debut, it makes you a bit curious as to who’s that girl. It’s subtle, and it’s not in-your-face screaming I’M DEBUTING WITH AN ALBUM THAT YOU SHOULD BUY LIKE RIGHT NOW!!
AAA – getting ready to Attack All Around. Love this band.
KANON WAKESHIMA’s Still Doll album. Now usually the doll-themed photos are difficult to pull off because most of the time the girls look like creepy little dead-eyed chuckie dolls who’ll hunt you in the night. But she’s pretty cool, and she suits the look.
IKIMONOGAKARI’s Blue Bird
This band looks like they know how to rock. Retro style.
Now this band knows how to take things literally – the right way. Their single “Easy Walk” seems like they’re breezily walking the the ghettohood, just chillin.’ They remind me of a cool British rock band.
KODA KUMI’s MOON single
Another literal cover, but wth, she looks classy and the silvery dress does have that “moon” vibe to it. It’s good that she didn’t go all sexy fierce and on the verge of being slutty. Looks great on her.
MIHIMARU GT with SOFFET’s collabo is bangin.’ Not a fan of the mushroom hair trend, but she looks confident with it, so it’s all good.
And they say nobody’s perfect! I was a bit surprised that she came out with a single, and by default she should be on every best list, because her photos (especially for this single) always come out looking young, fresh and sophisticated, veering away from those ditzy, cutesy, teenybopperish styles. Haven’t heard the song yet though. What do ya think of her voice?
If you want non-subtle, this one’s for you. Delivery guy Seamo does the hard sell and looks cool with it.
NOW FOR SOME ARTISTS, THE FACE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH TO WIN MUSIC LOVERS OVER.
AYUMI HAMASAKI’s Instrumental release (all tracks are instrumentals, dun really want to buy something like that) looks really great. The face painting is definitely not original but it’s one of the photos where her face doesn’t look all plastic. It actually looks really pretty.
At least it’s better than her Mirrorcle (is there really such a word?) World, which imho looks a bit cheesy with the butterflies.
UHM JUNG HWA
Mama diva is back! She didn’t have to go all colorful and shiny for her DISCO themed album, the image says it all. Plus her collabo with Big Bang’s T.O.P. is pretty H.O.T.
FOXXI MIS Q. Not a fan of the cover shot but the photos inside the CD are foxay! Screams a little Beyonce, but it’s very sexy yet tastefully done. Love the sultry cat eyes.
These are two different cover shots for different Yamada CDs. Well, with a face like that who wouldn’t want to put it up everywhere? She really surprised me with her music, it’s actually pretty good. She proves that she definitely is more than just a pretty face. AND she has SHUN OGURI on her side, lucky biznatch she’s so divvaaa.
Yes, there’s a RYO other than NISHIKIDO RYO. This cover shot looks like it would fit the book Lord of the Flies or some thriller DVD movie,
MOON JI EUN challenges Ayu’s butterflies. The overall color and her expression adds to a mysterious feel.
Very classy. Very glam. Very Namie.
Wide eyed SHIBASAKI KOU shows her best face. You can almost imagine just by looking what her music is going to be.
Dream goes on single
Love the creativity. It looks very inviting. Kinda makes you want to go to a fairy tale never never land.
SCHOOL OF GIRLS WHO ROCK
AYA KAMIKI. OMG I fangirl you!
ANNA TSUCHIYA feat. AI. Another explosive collabo!
ZA BEST ROCKIN’ LADY
It’s no wonder why this girl churns out hit after hit.
She thinks everything through and makes smart choices from her music all the way down to her album covers. Very consistent.
THEN THERE ARE THE ARTISTIC ONES…
LARC EN CIEL’s DAYBREAK. WHOA.
