Hello gorgeous people of the world!
How are you guys? Sorry for the scarce posts lately, work has been keeping me. Well, not that this isn’t also work, but… Anyway, even a week or so without spazzing about pop culture feels like forever!
So… as a special treat and for a change of pace, here’s a run down of the hottest Korean male celebrities to ever grace the industry. We’ve been ogling and drooling over Japanese artists for a while and now it’s time to go overseas! Watch out, it’s gonna be quite a long list! Koreans never seem to run out of eyecandies, which makes you wonder – what are they feeding these guys anyway??
While reading… you can choose from my fave Korean songs in this listening corner:
Se7en’s sexy voice
Popular-model-turned-actor (aren’t they all?) Yoo Gun became more well known for reasons other than his charms in the drama “Hello God.” Well, hello gorgeous!
Yoo Gun: Stop it! You’re making me blush! *NOTE: this pose will apparently recur from one actor to the next*
Here’s another model who became a screen heartthrob…
Dal Ja’s Spring male lead LEE MIN KI
Lee Min Ki may not stand out as an in-your-face blatantly hot guy, but his appeal runs deep. He has that down-to-earth, likeable vibe to him which won’t make you feel like a complete troll when you stand next to him.
He kinda looks like the friendly neighbor all the girls in your high school had a crush on.
Shinhwa’s ERIC MUN
Here is Korea’s answer to the light-haired overly girly Tegoshi….
Head’s up people! RAIN’s coming down.
The guy definitely has THE moves. If only his songs don’t ALWAYS begin with the sentence: “I’m Rain” or “This is rain” – I mean, like we didn’t know that already!
Speaking of having moves…
FROM BOYS TO MEN…
And now he’s teamed up with another hottie on the list…
If Gwyneth Paltrow looks at him that way… he must be doing something right.
Coffee Prince’s GONG YOO
Surfer boy. Washboard abs. Great tan. Enough said.
KANG DONG WON in the hit movie “Temptation of Wolves.” He’s hot not mainly because of his looks, but because of his great acting chops.
Aptly named T.O.P. making a big bang when he did a photoshoot which transformed him from a baggy jean wearing rapper to a black eyeliner-wearing rockstar emo.
Can you believe his transition from this?
These guys make a great team. Their voices blend really well and look good together. And their overall style is low-profile, simple, yet not boring. Their personalities seem to be the same way as well, not over-the-top, not too bland either. Simply cute.
But of course they did go through that awkward phase of bad outfits and weird, unexplainable hair (*Jaejoong’s hair explosion and Junsu’s bleach disaster). Even Changmin had to be forced to wear those silly bunny ears.
RANDOM POLL: WHO DOES THE PLATINUM/ SILVER HAIR BETTER? JAEJOONG OR MIURA HARUMA IN SKY OF LOVE?
Here’s a celeb who can pass off as a girl and win a beauty pageant hands down…
LEE JUN KI
His features are so perfect they even made a doll version of him!
AND THE BEST OF THE BEST…
What’s great about this guy is that he is a very versatile actor who’s not afraid to change and play up with his image and still look damn good! Here he goes from dark, brooding and mysterious to a mischeivous, smirking cutie.
He can rock the long hair and the clean, buzz cut. A lot of people are saying that he looks a bit like Kimura Takuya, but he’s his own man – maybe even better.
Ahjumma killer BAE YONG “the bespectacled one” JOON made the sleek salaryman look work. He’s the most coveted son-in-law any old mother would want to have for herself. Who knew underneath all that frumpy hair and dull suit lies gazillion years worth of gym body?
OH JI HOT
When I first saw Oh Ji Ho, I was like, “Eh? What’s Nagase doing in a Kdrama?” Ho well, there may be an uncanny resemblance at first glance, but Oh Ji Ho’s quite a dish himself.
Hallyu takes over the world! JDG working with Kate Bosworth in a Hollywood movie.
AND ON THE TOP…
LEE BYUNG HOON
JDG’s not the only one conquering Tinseltown. LBH is starring in a G.I. Joe movie version.
